The younger brother of Kureha, he fights using a technique called cord cutting which involves cutting your opponents nerves so they can't move. He does this because he was over shadowed by his older brother, Kureha, who always came to his rescue when they were children. Shinogi fought Baki in season 1 and was knocked out. In the Maximum Tournament, he fights his brother in round 1 who gives up after seeing Shinogi's resilience. In round 2, he fights Gouki Shibukawa and though he breaks Gouki's fake eye he still loses.
