His mother, [Url=https://megamitensei.fandom.com/wiki/Izanami]Izanami[/url], burnt to death during childbirth. His father, [Url=https://megamitensei.fandom.com/wiki/Izanagi]Izanagi[/url], beheaded Kagutsuchi with his sword, and cut his body into eight pieces, which then became volcanoes.
