The father of Mai and Sanae. He pushed his way into marriage with his wife, a painter, by saying they shared art in common.
Unlike his wife, who specializes in abstract art, he focuses exclusively on 2D anime-style girls. After the company he worked for went bankrupt, he lost motivation and became a hopeless slob, ending up estranged from his entire family.
