Ikki Namiki
They say every fish, from the common minnow to the great whale, yearns for a rapturous death upon his iron hook. They say a legion of monsters from the depths was set upon him in the night, yet by sunrise only a garden of bones remained. They say he sacrificed his left arm to the ocean to birth the islands of Japan, whereupon his blood became the magma that flows beneath the mountains. They say his name is Namiki, Conqueror of the Stars and the Abyss.
Though Ikki was performing impossible feats even in his infancy, his accomplishments had yet to be recognized by the mortal plane. Humans are a prideful, ignorant species, incapable of seeing the truth of this world if it does not align with their preconceived notions. Yet even they were forced to acknowledge his divinity when his successful catch of the 17-spotted Golden Koi was verified by a team of human scientists.
After his triumphs earned him an invitation to Bitokukawa, Ikki magnanimously decided to spend four years of his immortal life at the Academy, sharing his celestial knowledge with his grateful classmates. While in the mortal plane, he has chosen to seal away much of his godly power, so as to not obliterate the entire school with a flick of the wrist.
