Yuka's classmate from middle school. He was her first love, and is described as being kind in a nonchalant manner, having a slightly affected way of speaking, and above all, a strong, characteristic will. [spoiler]He died during a school field trip when he gave up his life to save Yuka and her friends from a fire that had broken out in their hotel.[/spoiler] According to Yuka and Saki, it seems that Makoto's attitude greatly resembles the boy's. Makoto's prejudice towards him, in addition to jealousy, might be due to his congeneric hatred; his disdain for how uncanny the resemblance is.
[spoiler]The night of the field trip, he told Yuka the myth of Gemini — The mortal older brother who died, outlived by his younger brother. The immortal younger brother who could never die. Even though they were similar, they followed different destinies. Yuka became captured by an infinite loop, where she herself wasn't even able to die, her destiny overlapping with Makoto's...[/spoiler]
