掛須秀一
Shuuichi Kakesu
Shuuichi Kakesu was born 1957 in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. He is a graduate student of Japan Academy of Moving Images and the founder and current representative director of editing studio Jay Film.
He started working at editing studio Okayasu Promotion, where he studied under Okayasu Hajime himself. In 1990 he founded Jay Film; or reorganised Kakesu Henshuushitsu, an editing studio he founded previously, into Jay Film. He was the first to introduce the non-linear editing system in Japan in 1994.
Kakesu won an Association of Media in Digital Award in 1996.
