沖浦啓之
Hiroyuki Okiura
Prodigious animator who entered the industry at the age of 16. Studied under Moriyasu Taniguchi.
Among the most technically adept of the realist movement, Okiura’s animation pushes photorealism to the limit. His scenes being so lifelike that they’re often confused for rotoscoping. He draws characters with realistic proportions and weighty movement, and is a perfectionist in the minor details. He’s particularly skilled with busy crowd shots.
Married to voice actress Sumi Mutou.
